It’s no secret that Greggs is woven into British life. Triumphs, trends and turning points; the cultural relationship between a person and their Sausage Roll is enduring.

From the humble bicycle beginnings of John Gregg in Newcastle to the iconic sporting achievement of the World Cup and the "Great Divide" sparked by the vegan revolution – as Britain changed, the Sausage Roll remained.

To celebrate National Sausage Roll Day, we’re unveiling the Greggs Ta-Pastry at the Design Museum on 5th and 6th June. Entry is free, but the experience of this once-in-a-lifetime artwork is priceless.

The eight-metre long embroidery chronicles the conquest of the British high street by our most treasured (and tasty) artifacts, inviting you to look closer at the legacy that lives behind your everyday favourites.

We’re officially baked into the fabric of the nation. See for yourself at the Design Museum on 5th and 6th June:
